A2 GESE 3 Trinity Exam questions for Further Leave to Remain (visa extension) examination

The A2 GESE 3 Trinity Exam is required two and a half years after passing an A1 test. In order to get Further Leave to Remain (visa extension) certificate you need to take the A2 GESE 3 exam. During the exam you are going to be asked a series of questions related to the following topics:

1.Questions about everyday life and dates

Where are you from?

Do you have any brothers or sisters?
When’s your birthday?
When’s your brother/ sister’s birthday?

When’s Valentine’s Day/Christmas Day/ Halloween?
Have you got any children?
Are you married or single?
When’s your wedding anniversary?
Do you work? Where?
What do you do in your free time?
Do you often do to the cinema? What films  do you like?
Do you like shopping? Where do you go shopping? How often do you go shopping?

2.Questions about daily routine and times:

What time do you normally get up?
What time do you have dinner?
Do you often cook?
What do you do at weekends?
Do you do housework?
What do you do in your free time?
Do you often go out with friends?
Question to ask the examiner:

3. Questions about expressing ability and inability

Can you cook?
How well can you cook?
What food can you cook?
Can you play an instrument?
Can you use a computer/mobile?
Can you speak other languages? How well?
Can you drive?
Can you paint/draw?
Question to ask the examiner:
Can you speak any foreign language?
4. Questions about giving directions and locations



Where do you live? Where is it?
What do you like about your area?
What’s your favourite place in the area? How to get there from your house?
Do you go shopping in your local area? Which shop? How do you get there?
Do you live in a flat or a house? Do you know your neighbours? Do you have any problems with your neighbours?
Do you live on the ground floor or second floor?
What’s your favourite room in your house? Can you describe it?
Where is the bookshelf/ coffee table/ dining table?
What things are there in your bedroom? Is there a window? What can you see from your window?

5. Questions about current activities of real people or those in pictures

What is your sister/husband/ son/ daughter doing now?
What are people in these photos doing?

7. Jobs

What does your husband/ wife/ sister/ daughter do? Where does she/he work? Does she/he like the job?

Trinity A2 GESE 3 Exam Preparation in London. You must pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in at least CEFR level A2 in Speaking and Listening for Further Leave to Remain (visa extension), required two and a half years after passing an A1 test.Trinity’s GESE Grade 3 exam equals to CEFR A2. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires non-EEA nationals to pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) in speaking and listening at level A2 after 2.5 years in the UK, in order to qualify for further leave to remain on the five-year partner or parent route to settlement.
