Online English lessons for children and young learners

Now your children can study English from the comfort and safety of your home. Our online English classes for kids are flexible, and suited to your child’s learning style. Lessons are half-an-hour per session(you can book one or several per day), are visual, engaging and taught by teachers from British Council schools who have years of experience educating children. All of our online teachers have DBS checks and use proven pedagogical methods which are ideal for children. These online lessons are all 1-to-1 sessions, or your child can be paired up with another child of a similar level and different linguistic background. We cater for children of all levels and abilities. Lessons start from £14 per session for longer bookings, and your child can have a free 20-minute trial lesson.

We are passionate about teaching English, we enjoy what we do and we are proud of our school and the children we teach. English lessons for kids in Camden combine not only lessons in international classes where students improve language skills like speaking, writing or grammar and vocabulary but also give the opportunity to your child to explore London by joining a weekly half day Discover London Visit. These trips are educational and are part of the teaching programme where kids are given activities helping them explore various museums, historic houses or other famous sights London has to offer.

On the first day of arrival students are tested and placed into classes based on their level and age with maximum 15 students in a class. Students are encouraged to work with different nationalities and English is the only language spoken in class.

Summer Camps for kids and young learners

Our summer school for children and teenagers combines learning and practising English through an integrated programme of classroom lessons, out of class activities, Discover London trips and weekend excursions. The activities, trips and excursions are part of the learning experience with projects and tasks connecting them to the lessons while children make international friendships and have opportunities use their English in natural social interaction. In addition to the lessons, all the programmes include a healthy morning snack, packed lunch daily.

Summer Course is for kids from 6 to 17 years old and because the age gap two different social activities programs are organised. Children between 6 to 9 years take part in the intensive program which is set in a close proximity to Regent’s Park, a beautiful green field where kids very often spend their afternoon while practising English during conversation classes or sport activities. These programmes are specially designed for younger children to encourage English learning through exciting activity based lessons in small classes with plenty of individual attention. Classes are mixed ability with activities and play breaks appropriate to the age group. The lesson starts at 9 followed by a lunch break and continues until 16:40, from Monday to Friday. Young students are taught by teachers who have vast experienced conducting lessons and activities with young kids, allowing them to learn in a relaxed atmosphere. Summer course for children starts 4th June and ends 24th August. The cost per week is £625 plus £90 registration fee.

Levels:

67 year-olds: mixed ability classes (higher level 7 year-olds may be placed in the 8-9 years classes)
8-9 year-olds: graded classes with minimum two levels. (higher level 7 year-olds may be placed in these classes)

Our intensive program for kids from 10 to 17 years old adds an excursion day on Saturday. This is a full day programme with English lessons in the morning and an afternoon programme of sports, art, excursions, themed parties as well as a full day Saturday trip starting at 9 until 17:30.

Lessons focus on communication with students fully engaged in exciting projects like preparing a play or designing their own board game. Students are also given opportunities to perform learning tasks and projects under supervision outside the school in places such as Regent’s Park or Camden Market. A high ratio of staff supervision on all outside activities means that children are always safe and secure throughout the school day. Summer course for teens starts 25th of June and ends 24th of August. The price is £625 per week including £90 of registration fee.

Accommodation

For children aged 12 years or more travelling alone we arrange homestay accommodation. We also have limited availability of homestay accommodation for parents with children.

Parents, children and hosts are provided with 24 hour contact telephone numbers for the accommodation agencies and the school. We have a dedicated staff member to assist you or your child with any problems or questions regarding accommodation.

Children are asked regularly during their stay about their accommodation, the food and their happiness with the arrangements. All their feedback is read and followed up if necessary and feedback on hosts is recorded and monitored.

The minimum age for unaccompanied children in homestay is 11 years old. Unaccompanied children younger than 14 years must use the school bus service.

Children’s School Bus Service 

The service is available for addresses in the bus zone in N and NW areas if booked in advance and is subject to availability. The service is available as an optional extra. Children under 14 years must book the bus service or be accompanied to and from school by an adult. Children aged 14+ can travel independently to and from school with written permission from their parents
