After two-and-a-half years in the UK, non-EEA nationals on the five-year partner or parent route to settlement must pass a SELT in speaking and listening at A2 level in order to qualify for further leave to remain. The A2 English Certificates are from Trinity College which is one of the approved examining body on the Home Office language partner’s SELT list.
