The Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) Preparation course   has been specially designed for students who need the CAE certificate as recognition of their English proficiency. Throughout the program, students will develop proficiency in listening, reading, writing, speaking and English in Use. These skills will aid those taking the CAE Exam but will also be of use to students in the real world, often in a business context.

What you will learn on the Cambridge Advanced (CAE) course

  • You will study key topics which often feature in the exam and the structures and vocabulary associated with these topics.
  • You will learn tips, techniques and strategies to help you to complete exam tasks more confidently and successfully for each exam paper and its different parts.
  • You will review, consolidate and expand your range of grammatical structures and areas of vocabulary which you will need for the exam.
  • You will practise speaking, listening, reading and writing skills to improve your abilities in all areas of your English.
The CAE Program will cover:

 Strategies for skimming, scanning and reading for detail.

Development of communicative strategies through interactive speaking activities and authentic tasks.

Question interpretation, analysis, development of ideas, content organisation and grammatical accuracy in letters, essays and reports.

Strategies of listening for specific information and identifying broader attitudes and opinions.
